Resource Manager RMO

Role Summary / Purpose:

The Resource Manager is responsible for Staffing and Resource Planning for one or more areas within Professional Services by assessing talent capabilities and availability and aligning them to project requirements of moderate scope. As a Resource Manager, this individual will focus on successfully managing the overall schedule for all Cre8tive projects.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Apply the Cre8tive deployment methodology having functional, technical and industry specific knowledge to take an organized, strategic approach to fill roles, with an eye for practice development and resource optimization.
  • Effectively and efficiently coordinate consultant schedules by gaining a knowledge of the Epicor applications. Includes learning the Cre8tive supported PSA systems, as well as a detailed understanding of the professional services engagement principles, tools, and methodologies.
  • Monitor weekly resource availability (or bench) reporting. Responsible for third party resource scheduling and adherence to procedural policy. Continually promote a positive working relationship, with Professional Services/Project Management Office (PMO).
  • Work with all departments and third parties to manage resource conflicts.
  • Overcoming resource shortages by means of resource management techniques, reallocating resources, assigning more staff, etc.; informing senior management of any issues related to inability to meet clients’ needs due to resourcing.
  • Providing project managers with support when it comes to resource management issues or improving resource management processes.
  • Knowing all the current and upcoming projects run in an organization and business development activities and being able to plan resourcing accordingly.
  • Identify scarce skill needs and share with manager. Identify risk areas i.e., supply/demand, over/understaffed, shortage of a specific skill and review with manager.
  • Contribute and implement ideas and action plans to improve the RMO planning and scheduling processes. Collaborate with our Partner community to staff subcontractors, as necessary.
  • Responsible for Project Readiness, Prepare Customer Portals, using established tools, prepare and embed Project Plans and Project Control lists, facilitate customer team access and security and coordinate with new customers in preparation of Project Launches.
  • PMO Administration, monitor and document requests for changes to PMO assets, facilitate release and publication of new/updated templates and assets, assist with preparation of PMO KPI reports, coordinate meetings and training events.

Qualifications / Requirements:

  • 3+ years applicable experience consulting and demonstrated success/knowledge.
  • 3+ years specialized experience in Resource Coordination.
  • High school diploma. Bachelor’s degree preferred (or equivalent experience).
  • This position may require business travel – estimated at 5%.
